The biggest cricket match to be played in Worthing in almost 40 years takes place this month.
A Sussex XI will take on Hampshire at the Manor Sports Ground, Broadwater Road, from Wednesday, July 23, to Friday, July 25.
The Manor ground formerly boasted first-class cricket, attracting thousands of spectators and some of the best cricketers of the day.
But it was abandoned as a first-class venue after the wicket deteriorated.
Much work has gone into improving the ground since and the fixture is part of a plan to attract top cricket back to the town.
The event coincides with the start of the school holidays, making it a fantastic opportunity for children to see professional cricket in their own area.
Admission to the ground is free, as is car parking. There will also be refreshments and a bar.
