Students of decorative interiors have presented their room designs to Worthing's Burlington Hotel.
Twelve students from Northbrook College displayed their drawings and fabric samples to the hotel owners.
Course leader Kathy Harrison said: "The students presented their ideas for themed rooms to accommodate the new market in Worthing.
"Their City and Guilds course involves doing, not just learning."
The Burlington Hotel has recently been closed for refurbishment and all the new rooms are now open to the public.
Dawn Packham, hotel operations director and wife of owner Paolo Packham, said: "I was very impressed with the standard of the work and we are considering using some of the student's ideas in our rooms."
