Trading standards officers in Sussex have issued a warning about potentially deadly jelly sweets.
They contain a gum-like substance called Konjac, which was banned by the European Union last year following the deaths of 18 children around the world.
The children choked to death when the sweets became stuck in their throats.
They are Sugarland brands Jellyace Lychee Flavour Konjac and Jellyace Buko Pandan mini-cup jelly products, sold in a 192g pack of 12.
These sweets have been found in outlets in London, Leeds, Swansea, Rhyl, Oswestry, Watford, Epsom and Castleford.
They were distributed from a warehouse in Leyton, east London, and have almost certainly been supplied to other retailers.
Ray Moore, Brighton and Hove City Council's principal trading standards officer, said: "People should be on the alert for these sweets. For such an innocent looking product they can have and have had deadly consequences."
Anyone who sees the sweets should call 01273 292487 or 01273 292522.
