A medal is but a small token of our enormous debt of gratitude for the likes of R Truelove (Letters, July 10) and his army colleagues.
But that's not the real problem here.
The moral wisdom of the politicians who sent soldiers to Suez and Iraq in the first place is the real problem to be solved if our humanity is to survive the 21st Century.
