Replacement of the bus shelter in Victoria Road, Portslade (The Argus, July 7), shows the lack of knowledge about this area.
I have been trying to get the east end of the road cleaned for some time.
Priorities include: Cutting back the growth at Portslade Station; clearance of overgrown grass underneath the advertising hoarding; cleaning the underpass more often and clearance of weeds and litter around bus shelters.
Our councillor, Sue John, has taken up the case so hopefully we will be treated similarly to Wish ward, which has been planted with new trees etc.
This area was greatly inconvenienced when the gas pipe line was put in and was recompensed.
Perhaps a little of this money could pay for the improvements.
-Mrs PM James, Portslade
