Magazine and broadcasting group Emap sounded a cautiously optimistic note yesterday despite some worries over its new music television channels.
Three months into its financial year, the group, which publishes titles including lads' mag FHM and runs 18 local analogue radio stations, said it was line to meet its full year expectations.
But chairman Adam Broadbent said growth in revenues from its string of music television stations, which include The Box, Smash Hits and Kerrang!, was slowing.
In the last financial year, television revenues ballooned by 120 per cent to £22 million - although the figure still only accounted for just over two per cent of Emap's total turnover.
