Residents are being urged to rethink the way they deal with their rubbish at the inaugural Littlehampton Recycling Festival.
The festival, which takes place on Saturday on the seafront green, near Harbour Park, has been organised by Littlehampton resident Andy McTaggart, with help from the town, district and county councils.
The event will feature a recycled clothing fashion show, with models wearing clothes made from recycled materials by students from Littlehampton Community School and Northbrook College.
Secondhand clothes donated by charity Scope and clothes bought from other charity shops will be modelled on the catwalk, as will costumes made from household rubbish.
The catwalk has been made by Harbour Park workmen and music to introduce the show will be performed by the Littlehampton Community School Stomp band.
The models will come from Littlehampton Community School, Angmering School, the Rustington Rainbows, members of the Littlehampton Cheerleaders Group and the Littlehampton Carnival Queen and princesses.
Students from Northbrook College designed their outfits from discarded clothing with top London fashion house Noki during a three-day project called Rejection Breeds Invention.
The event starts at 11am in Littlehampton Town Centre, with a procession to the seafront green led by the Rethink Rubbish Dustbin.
