Invitation League: Findon are still on course for a fabulous double.
The current division one champions picked up maximum points with victory at bottom side Clymping on Saturday to move to within four points of leaders Arundel with a game in hand.
The following day they beat Hampshire League side Easton and Martyr Worthy to progress to the last eight of the National Village Knockout Cup. The final is staged at Lord's.
Captain Nigel Waller said: "It is a fantastic achievement by everybody at the club and we are hoping we can keep it going for the rest of the season.
"To reach the last eight of a competition which started with 560 teams shows how well we have done.
"The atmosphere around the club is amazing. There is so much buoyancy and everyone is playing with such confidence. It is a credit to all the players as well as everyone else who helps out at the club."
Graham Waller (87) and John Cox (50 not out) helped Findon post 238-5 off 43 overs in their league fixture. Graham Blann hit 47 for Clymping but tight bowling from Mark Stewart (5-28) reduced then to 171 all out.
Waller said: "The Clymping game was very important, because we could easily have slipped up with the cup match the next day.
"They were very strong and gave us a difficult game but we made no mistake and managed to pick up maximum points as well.
"Our league form is being overshadowed a bit by the cup run, but when you consider we were second bottom after the first three games of the season, we have done very well to be where we are now."
A fourth-wicket partnership of 114 between James Iago (75) and Cox (59) laid the foundation for victory against Easton.
Findon made 225-7 off 40 overs and Iago swapped bat for ball to take 3-32 and restrict the visitors to 206 all out. Stewart capped a good weekend by adding 3-32 to the five wickets he claimed the previous day.
Waller refuses to consider a league and cup double. He said: "It would be an incredible season if we did it, but we are trying not to think about it.
"We aim to win as many matches as we can and see where we end up. You can't start thinking about playing at Lord's or winning the league because there is still a long way to go and we have some very good teams still to play."
