Claire McDavitt, from Brighton, was among the people who had to be evacuated from a party night at Hove Town Hall the weekend before last because of a fire alarm being set off.
But she questions our report of the incident, which appeared on Monday, July 14.
She says it wasn't a "Rocky Horror Show bash", as we said, but a Brighton Rock event, she saw only one person in "stockings, high heels and corsets" and heard no "sarcastic quips" from passers-by - in fact she saw no passers-by!
Claire says: "We aren't a group of weirdos and circus freaks who gather for a monthly festival or anything of the kind."
But she adds: "Please don't misunderstand me - I'd like to thank whoever wrote it for giving me and my friends the best laugh we've had in years.
"In fact, why doesn't somebody from The Argus come along to the next night. I think he or she'd be pleasantly surprised!"
Rose Gadd questions the good taste of the story two Fridays ago about retired Navy officer David Cecil Pelly's death in a bondage parlour at his home in Midhurst.
"Was it really necessary to write every detail of his death or even publish his name or where he lived?" she asks. "People thought he was (according to your article) "a kind, caring distinguished gentleman. Now people will think of him as a dirty old man.
"Doesn't anyone at The Argus stop to think how his widow, family and friends would feel reading this article?"
You make a fair point, Rose, but it is our duty to inform people about what is happening in their community, however tragic and distasteful it may occasionally seem.
Readers of Feedback two weeks ago might remember the reference to a review in which an actor was described as wearing a "leather giblet". I only mention it again because Rupert Radcliffe-Genge, from Brighton, has since written to ask: "Was this a tripeographical error or just an offal mistake?"
Ian Sawyer asks why, when using pictures of vehicles involved in road accidents and illegal parking, we often mask the registration plates.
"Is this a legal requirement?" he asks. "If not, I consider displaying the registration, hence identifying the driver would be a suitable deterrent to others where inconsideration is involved."
The answer, Ian, is we do indeed do it for legal reasons - we do not want to wrongly accuse people of offences when they may be entirely innocent, however a picture may make it appear.
Jay Morton says she was the 35-year-old woman from Eastbourne mentioned in a report on Tuesday last week about a fatal accident at Firle Straight near Lewes but was not "unhurt".
She says she was taken to hospital suffering whiplash injuries and internal bruising and has had to take time off work due to the trauma.
She also says her sincere thoughts and condolences go to the family of the taxi driver who was killed in the accident. Ours too, Jay, and we wish you a speedy recovery too.
Sara Harris, of the Brighton Framing Gallery, points out that we referred to it as the British Framing Gallery in our story last Saturday about the launch of Kemp Town's annual window-dressing competition. Sorry, Sara.
Jim Marshall, from Hove, says Conway Street is in Hove, not Brighton, as we said in a news in brief item last Friday.
And finally, a back-handed compliment to our weatherman from Mr J Leighton, from Hove, who says that we finally got the day's temperature somewhere near accurate on July 11 (73 degrees f) after "at least a week of forecasting 63".
However, he says, "it was probably nearer 83 degrees!"
