A big thank you to all those who supported us in our search for our dog.
Many thanks to The Argus for running the story and to all those who offered to place details on their web sites.
I am very grateful to the lady driving the green Rover, Heather Newell of Lancing, who found Oscar at 6.05am on the morning he went missing.
Believing him to be a stray she kindly took him in and took him to her local vets, after contacting the police.
Apparently the identity tag he was wearing was no longer attached to the collar so no contact details were available at the time.
She read about my search in the paper and immediately contacted me to say she had Oscar, all was safe and well and would we like to come and collect him.
I have since had Oscar micro chipped after speaking to many organisations who suggested it was worthwhile and something we sometimes regret not doing after the event.
Many people offered their help and services, realising we are not from the area, putting up posters, and details on their web sites, which is comforting to know in the world in which we live today.
