John Parry is right about the way things have changed for the worse (The Argus, July 25).
Whenever a crime is committed, some namby-pamby group starts bleating about the criminal's "rights".
What about Tony Martin's right to stay in his home and mind his own business without a gang of criminals walking in?
Perhaps if more judges were a danger to burglars, there would be less crime.
We never hear the do-gooders proclaiming anyone's right to walk along a street without being mugged or worse.
For some time, I wondered if there was a clause in the Human Rights Act saying it applied only to criminals.
There used to be a saying "crime doesn't pay" but did anyone ever see a lawyer with a begging bowl?
