If the "Regency police" had been around when the Royal Pavilion was being built, they would have complained it
was out of keeping with the mud huts and hovels in the vicinity.
Frank Gehry's towers will look fantastic.
If it is to be taken seriously as a city of culture, Brighton and Hove urgently needs some non-Regency architecture to complement what's left of the Victorian West Pier and the crumbling slum which 1930s Embassy Court has become.
