I hope the appointment of Sir Terence Conran to restore Embassy Court will be the saviour of the building (The Argus, August 1).
There is still a question mark over cash and it is hoped the National Lottery and Europe will foot the bill. This funding should come solely from the Lottery and Europe.
History surrounds Embassy Court, which was designed 70 years ago. It is an 11-storey block containing 104 flats and was built with the resort's first penthouse apartments, making it a very desirable place.
The building became a Grade II* listed building in 1984 and for this reason should be preserved. It should never have been allowed to become an eyesore.
