Dr Martens: Crawley Town are mourning the death of former manager and secretary Stan Markham at the age of 77.
Stan served the club in official capacities for 41 years, retiring when they left their old Town Mead ground in 1997.
But he was still a regular visitor to the new ground before suffering a heart attack in January 2002.
Over four decades he served the club as goalkeeper, youth team manager, chief scout, groundsman, first team manager and then, for 29 years, as secretary. Before moving to Sussex he was a professional with Tottenham for five years.
His funeral will take place at Surrey and Sussex Crematorium, Balcombe Road, Crawley on Tuesday, August 26 at 11.15pm with a reception afterwards at Broadfield Stadium.
