Cuckmere Valley League: East Dean have gone top of the Cuckmere Valley League for the first time this season following a 70-run success over Firle.
Graham Primett was the star of the show by claiming 5-10 to dismiss Firle for just 79.
That was in reply to East Dean's 149-9 which saw John Daubney top score with 25.
East Dean hold a two point lead over three teams and with five games to go any one of the top seven sides could realistically win the title.
Blackboys returned to winning ways as they thumped Withyham at home to 114 runs. Jamie Marchant smacked 93 and Nick Rogers blasted 65 as Blackboys posted 207-9.
In reply, Greg Dann reduced Withyham to 40-9 after 20 overs. Neil Baldwin made 22 and Tom Saxty 19 in a last wicket stand of 53 but the visitors were eventually dismissed for 93.
Selmeston kept themselves in contention with a six-wicket win against third-placed Bells Yew Green. Chris Beasleigh hit 152 as BYG were dismissed for 66, then Patrick Hole (48) and Mick Baldwin (47) led the way as Selmeston raced to victory.
Dave Ellis hit 72 not out as Denton made 184-5 and that was more than enough for victory as Burwash Weald were dismissed for 114 in reply, with Martin Foard taking 4-30.
Nutley are promoted from division two after an 84-run success against Preston Village.
