More fairground-style attractions for children are likely to be provided at next year's popular Tarring Market.
It is one of the ideas under discussion by organisers to improve the event, which attracts hundreds of people to the ancient Worthing village.
There was general satisfaction at the success of this year's market but also concern that activities tailed off after midday.
It has been suggested the grand draw could be brought forward by 30 minutes and proceedings brought to a close at 1pm.
Other ideas included more colourful decoration for the stalls, a specific team to erect and dismantle stalls and relocating some stalls so more people walk past them.
