Maths king Leon Simpson is aiming for the top after achieving astronomical A-level results.
The 18-year-old Worthing College pupil's five A grades are the highest in Sussex and have won him a place to study physics at Oxford University.
Leon, of Southview Drive, Worthing, picked up the top grades in maths, further maths, electronics, physics and statistics.
He also attained As in government and politics at AS-level, a B for his critical thinking AS and two distinctions and a merit for three advanced extension awards.
Last night he said he hoped to pursue a career as an academic before taking a seat in the House of Lords.
He said: "I want to become an academic and then a peer, It's this obsession I have with nobility."
Teacher Gill Buque said: "Leon arrived at college and all he wanted to do was maths, maths and more maths."
