A pair of giant aliens found themselves the targets of stone-throwing teenagers when they stopped off in Seaford during the filming of a pop video.
But Elle and Bo, who are being filmed at sites across Britain, also stole hearts among walkers and locals as they kept their strange clifftop vigil for the cameras.
John Hollingsworth, director and producer of commercials and Franco Pezzino, director of photography at Retro-juice, were making a stop-frame animation of the polystyrene and plaster pair.
It involved taking a shot every six seconds to capture a full day in ten minutes.
The film will then be edited down to ten, 30 and 60-second promos for indie band Elbow.
John and Franco began filming at 4am and stayed until 10pm yesterday but they had to be there at 7pm the night before to set up the equipment.
