My family and I drove down Madeira Drive on a Sunday evening at about 10pm.
There were lots of families coming in off the beach, crossing what must be the most dangerous road in Brighton.
Up at the far end of Madeira Drive, youngsters with their neon light-covered cars congregated in the car park, revving their engines and playing S Club 7 as loud as possible.
If these kiddies want to doll up their cars like penny racers, I have no problem with that. The problem is that they zoom up and down Madeira Drive.
Some cars hit 80 or 90 mph before they get to the Concorde 2 nightclub.
I saw cars entering Madeira Drive off the Pier roundabout and accelerating very quickly before they even got to Sega Park.
This really must stop. There should be more street lights and more zebra crossings.
And how about a few speed cameras? They would amost certainly stop these speed demons in their tracks.
