School is being allowed to build a hall despite concerns from local people that it will lead to an increase in traffic.
St Wilfrid's Primary School in Angmering was given the go-ahead after a site visit by Arun planners.
Neighbours had raised concerns it would worsen traffic problems in the Arundel Road area.
Concerns the new hall would overlook nearby houses were also raised.
But after visiting the site and listening to the school's chairman of governors say the hall was needed to meet National Curriculum standards, planners gave it the go-ahead.
