Invitation League: Findon claimed maximum points from their home win against Burgess Hill to ensure the division one title will be decided on the last day of the season.

Findon are eight points ahead of Arundel going into their final game at home to Goring on Saturday.

Arundel, without a game last week, face a tough trip to Ifield.

Findon bowler Toby Kingsbury took 8-20 to help skittle Burgess Hill for 106. Findon reached 110-6 inside 28 overs for a comfortable four-wicket win.

Broadwater claimed third place after beating bottom side Clymping by 89 runs in their final game of the season.

Broadwater, who were promoted as champions from division two last season, posted 225-7 thanks to an impressive 97 by Joe Owen. In reply, Chris Green caused some problems with 60 but Clymping could only make 136 after superb bowling by Fitzroy Hodges (7-59).

Lindfield won by three wickets at Goring after dismissing the home side for 178. Pete Rebera (51) top scored for Goring but he received little support. Ashfaq Ahmed took 5-37 for Lindfield, who went on to post 180-7 in reply. Good knocks by Kevin Chamberlain (58) and Phil Hogan (44) ensured maximum points.

Ifield had to settle for a draw at Pagham, despite scoring 200-8, thanks to useful contributions from Aamer Riaz (59 not out), skipper Graeme Dean (41) and Sohail Shah (35).

Pagham captain Craig Primmer took 4-62, then hit 48 not out to help his side to 129-5 in reply. Clint Hewson took 3-28 for Ifield.

Southwick gave their division two promotion hopes a major boost after beating Ansty by two wickets at home.

Ansty lost two early wickets before Steffan Piolet (50) and Darren Senadhira (22) put on 52 for the third wicket. Chris Nutter (17) and Andy Hadfield (18) kept the score ticking over until Southwick bowlers Steve Martin (3-38) and his son Russell (5-24) got amongst the wickets to leave Ansty all out for 161.

Southwick reached 165-8 with nine balls to spare with Steve Martin (56 not out) and Jim Downey (42) doing the damage. Simon Parsons (4-69) was the pick of the Ansty attack.

Billingshurst are still in promotion contention after picking up maximum points from a six-wicket home win against Barns Green. Bill Bailey made 68 for Green but good bowling by Andy Welfare (5-29) and Shambrook (4-31) left the visitors 149 all out. Billingshurst raced to 150-4 inside 33 overs in reply with Adrian Dudman top scoring ( 85 not out).

Crawley travelled to Scaynes Hill with only ten men but still managed to come away with a 24-run win. The visitors won the toss and were all out for 174-9, before going on to dismiss Scaynes Hill for 150 inside 44 overs.

Bottom side Eastergate are in danger of going through the whole season without a win after losing by two wickets at home against Keymer & Hassocks. Jim Berry made 63 for Eastergate but Charlie Thompson (5-50) kept the home side's total to 174-8. Keymer responded with 178-8 , despite the efforts of Eastergate bowler Mark Leach (4-28).
