West Sussex League: Ram are on the brink of winning the division one title after a maximum points win over Three Bridges IV.

The result means Ram leapfrog former leaders West Chiltington into top spot with one match to play.

Ram set an impressive target of 339-6 thanks to the efforts of Kartik (77) and Prakesh (58). Bridges were skittled for 70 in reply as Kartik capped a good all-round performance by taking 3-19 and Pramod claimed 3-8.

West Chiltington's title hopes were severely dented by a narrow defeat at Brighton Insurance.

Grant Morrish smashed 165 not out as Insurance made 254-4. Brian Chambers attempted to inspire the reply with 72 and Rob Llewelyn hit 52, but Chilts fell agonisingly short on 251-9.

West Blachington look set to take third place after winning by ten wickets at Palmers.

The home side were dismissed for 121, then Rob Strickland hit 71 not out and Kris Rodmel 49 as Blachington reached 122-0.

St Matthias claimed maximum points against Crawley Eagles III thanks to an impressive century by Steven Mander (107), He helped Saints post 303-7, before Eagles were restricted to 239-9 in reply.

A superb bowling display by Chris Ballard helped Shoreham to their second win of the season against Three Bridges III. Chris Ward top scored for Shoreham in a total of 178-8. Ballard finished with figures of 7-29 to leave Bridges all out for 159.
