Horsham YMCA left Gosport Borough with their heads held high despite a 1-0 defeat in last night's FA Cup extra preliminary round replay.
Graham Lindsay's 53rd minute header from a Stuart Heasman cross settled the tie.
YM boss John Suter said: "We fought a resolute rearguard action all through the first half.
"After they scored we were more positive and we deserved something out of it.
"All in all, the lads can walk away feeling reasonably pleased with their performance. The only disappointment was the result."
YM's best chances saw substitute Andrew Price and Joel O'Hara both go close.
