Bass lines boomed as dozens of souped-up cars were shown off for charity.
More than one hundred enthusiasts attended the modified car show in the car park of nightclub 3TO in Newland Road, Worthing, on Saturday.
The event, in aid of children's charity the Rockinghorse Appeal, featured a selection of dazzling cars and incredibly loud sound systems.
Loving owners had spent thousands of pounds and invested hours of hard work perfecting their vehicles.
Thrilled at the number of people attending, event organisers Jamie Pryer and Clive Morrish, both 19, said the show was one of the few on the South Coast.
The pair started the Sussex Modified Car Club a year ago to organise legal events, after discovering some unofficial shows were dangerous to people and vehicles.
The club now boasts 700 members.
Jamie, from Hove, said: "We've got the best-looking cars at the front to draw people in but there are some really powerful cars here, some really quick ones and ones with loud sound systems."
Jamie's favourite was Clive's modified Mini Cooper, which had its back seat removed to fit a huge set of speakers.
Jamie said: "It turns heads everywhere you go - it's so loud."
One of the highlights was a competition to find which car had the loudest system - and Jamie and Clive were ready with a sound pressure level meter to judge the winner.
Clive said: "These shows are proving slow to catch on in Sussex but the modified car scene is massive.
"It has taken a while for people to realise and all the shows are London way.
"We used to go to shows at Madeira Drive, Brighton but now we stay clear."
The show was backed by Huet Car Audio and Security and 3TO, which donated champagne for the owners of the loudest sound system and best- looking car.
