Falklands hero Simon Weston is coming to Worthing to tell how he rebuilt his life after suffering terrible injuries.
Tom Wye, of Worthing's Combined Ex-Services Association, has organised the event to raise funds for the Royal Star and Garter Home in Richmond and Gifford House, the Queen Alexandra Hospital-Home in Worthing, which care for disabled ex-service men and women.
Mr Weston is a vice-president of The Royal Star and Garter and devotes much of his time to supporting the home and other ex-service charities.
Star and Garter spokeswoman Belinda Cuthbert said: "He is an inspiration to young and old alike and his frank talk on his life and experiences is not to be missed."
An evening with Simon Weston will be held at the Dome Cinema on September 9 at 8pm.
Tickets are available at £6 from Tom Wye on 01903 267227, Michael Kent, the Royal Star and Garter's regional co-ordinator, on 01903 265757 or Sheila Harris at Gifford House on 01903 213458.
