HERMAN'S HERMITS, Hove Centre, August 29: A nostalgic return to the Sixties with this four-piece who, according to Cashbox magazine, sold more records than the Beatles in 1965. Lead singer Peter Noone left the group in 1971 while the only original member left is drummer Barry Whitman but they still perform about 200 gigs a year and early anthems such as I'm Into Something Good and Mrs Brown. Concentrating on a country/pop style of music, the Brighton-based ensemble never give the same performance twice. As frontman Laurence Collyer says: "Gigs can be strange.
