Eastbourne Borough saw their unbeaten record blown apart as they were thrashed at Nuneaton.
Garry Wilson's men were under the cosh for most of the game, but were furious to be denied what looked a clearcut penalty in the 70th minute when they were 2-0 down.
Danny Simmonds was dragged to the ground by home defender Michael Love during a goalmouth melee, but Worcester referee Mr Cox ignored frantic Eastbourne appeals.
"It was a stonewall penalty," stormed boss Wilson. "It wasn't even a 50-50 situation. Danny was pulled and pulled.
"If we had got it back to 2-1 it would have been a bit tighter."
Solid Eastbourne defending restricted Nuneaton to a solitary first half goal, headed in from a corner in the 36th minute by Neil Moore.
Brian Quailey headed the second in the 57th minute.
Borough had a brief second half flurry with Simmonds' cross curling against the bar.
But once the penalty decision went against them, the visitors collapsed and strikes in the 79th and 81st minutes by Terry Angus and sub Andy Corbet ensured Nuneaton a place at the top of the table.
