A film-maker is casting people from the Worthing area to appear in his debut short movie.
James Herbert has been given £1,500 to make his first professional film and is looking to recruit a local cast and crew.
The award, granted by regional funding body Screen South, will allow James's company Point and Shoot to start filming later this month.
The film will be shot in Littlehampton, where Point and Shoot is based.
James has teamed up with Worthing-based producer Jo Sangster to make the film.
Jo said: "James has written a script for a two-minute film called "21...22.
"Its story involves 21 victims of a practical joke who lure a 22nd victim to share their fate.
"The cast will include members of the crew as well as a large number of extras, making the production a true team effort.
"Screen South doesn't just hand out money to anyone with a good idea- you need to have talent, as well as energy and commitment.
"Pitching to the funding panel is daunting to even the most experienced film-maker and James has done brilliantly to get this grant."
James said: "I can't wait to get started.
"Everyone I speak to is really enthusiastic about helping me to achieve the film I want.
"I have even managed to attract an already established talent in the form of Brighton-based shorts director Joe Tunmer to support me as a mentor."
