Yemi Odubade and Bobby Godfrey both bagged braces as Eastbourne Town sunk the Ryman League division two high-flyers in a rollercoaster first qualifying round tie at The Saffrons.
Town fell 2-1 behind after Godfrey had given them the lead but Dorking had Alan Broomhead sent off after 40 minutes for a deliberate handball on the line and Eastbourne never trailed again after Odubade levelled from the penalty spot.
Further goals by Godfrey, Odubade and also Graham Holman and Lee Walsh secured Town's passage into the next round.
Boss Dave Winterton said: "It was a real rollercoaster game and great to watch for the neutral. They certainly got their money's worth."
