Sam Francis scored twice and new strike partner Gavin Geddes also struck on his return as Worthing brushed Met Police aside.
Geddes, back at Woodside Road from Horsham, was on target either side of first half efforts from Francis.
A defensive lapse allowed Jon Daly to net a consolation for the visitors before Ben Carrington completed the scoring four minutes from time.
Substitute Clinton Moore, signed from Whyteleafe, set up Carrington after replacing Geddes and Rebels also gave a full debut to Shaun Grice, another Withdean player.
It proved very straight forward for Alan Pook's new-look side after Francis' 37th minute opener sparked three goals in the space of eleven minutes.
Geddes struck at the second attempt after a pass from Francis, and Francis then ended a slick build-up with a close range shot from Carrington's cross from the right.
Worthing cruised home after withdrawing Geddes ten minutes into the second half, and struggling Met Police had their best spell before Daly pounced to make it 3-1 from six yards.
