Well, what a surprise, Brighton and Hove City Council's flamboyant but disastrous chief executive, David Panter, has been wasting public money again.

What on earth are some councillors doing defending such actions?

I have witnessed first hand one of Mr Panter's business breakfasts at the Grand Hotel.

It was not for any visiting dignitaries, government inspectors or even community leaders.

It was purely for leading councillors and his "gang of four" senior officers.

There wasn't much business going on either, as eating, drinking and general mocking of ordinary Brighton folk appeared to be the recipe for the day.
