I was very interested to read about Lord Richard Attenborough's 80th birthday bash and the celebrations of Oh What A Lovely War!, which was filmed in Brighton (mainly on the West Pier and nearby seafront).
But what has happened to the movie?
I've been trying for more than a year to get a tape or DVD but it is not available in any country in any format. Does anyone know why this is?
Very old VHS home recordings of the film are being auctioned on Ebay and going for £200 a time - which is some sort of record I believe.
Many young people have heard all about the film and its anti-war message but have never had the opportunity to see it on the big screen or on TV.
Puzzling.
