Chris Adams says his Sussex players need to play without fear if they are to make history.
The county are on the verge of their first Championship despite Saturday's innings defeat by Lancashire.
Six points from their final game against Leicestershire at Hove, starting on Wednesday, will be enough regardless of how Lancashire do in their last match with Nottinghamshire at Trent Bridge.
But Adams admits his side need to rediscover the attacking zest which had brought them nine wins this season.
"We weren't aggressive enough at Old Trafford," he admitted. "We got into the mindset of trying to accumulate points rather than win the game and in the end we were well beaten.
"The players are going to be a bit apprehensive, you can understand that because they are so close to achieving something really special.
"But we know what we need to get from the last game and if we can't get ten points from the last two then we don't deserve to win the title.
"We're not worried about what the weather might be like, what the pitch will do or even Leicestershire. We'll be looking to be aggressive, dominate the opposition and win the game."
Adams may be able to call on James Kirtley for the finale. Kirtley is recovering from shin splints and faces a fitness test tomorrow.
