A youth leisure event is being held to find out what facilities young people want.
An Arun District Council spokesman said young people felt facilities were lacking in Middleton, near Bognor.
Tim Dancer, Arun's assistant leisure development officer, said: "Together with Middleton Parish Council, we are thinking about long-term facilities and opportunities for young people.
"For the short term, we are organising a one-off leisure event for people aged between ten and 18 on September 24.
"It will give clubs and organisations the chance to promote their activities and allow youngsters to do activities on the day.
"There will be box 'n' bounce, sports, DJ-ing, graffiti walls and all kinds of other things to get involved with."
Leaflets entitled Get Moving In Middleton are being posted throughout the area in conjunction with posters inviting young people to attend.
An action plan questionnaire will be handed out on the day for young people to highlight what facilities they would like introduced.
The event takes place at Middleton Scout Hall and on Shrubbs Field, Middleton, from 5pm to 8pm.
