A drug addict allowed dealers to use his flat to sell heroin and crack cocaine, a court heard.
David Jones, 37, claimed two pushers threatened to harm him if he did not comply.
Hove Crown Court heard yesterday the dealers offered to supply him with free drugs if they were allowed to use the bedsit in Chapel Place, Brighton, as a base.
Drugs squad officers found almost 60 wraps of heroin and crack when the property was raided in January.
Jones pleaded guilty to allowing his premises to be used for the supply of Class A drugs and appeared for sentence yesterday.
Gavin Argent, prosecuting, said: "He was in the flat with another man when a drugs warrant was executed. In the oven was a black and white football which contained individual wraps of drugs in cling film. More wraps were found in the flat.
"Jones said the drugs were not his but admitted he had allowed his flat to be used by two dealers."
Amy Packham, defending, said her client had been a drug addict for 19 years but had very little history of offending.
Jones was made the subject of a drug treatment and testing order for one year.
