Lowly Shoreham claimed a home draw with Whitehawk but admitted they rode their luck in the County League division one clash.
Boss Jim Downey said: "I'm happy with a point against a side like that.
"The luck went our way a bit but it has gone against us in other games."
Gary Stevens put Shoreham ahead with a composed finish but Alvaro Sa'Enz Ibanez and Craig Bunch replied for Hawks after super moves.
Darren Annis thought he had been fouled inside the box after 52 minutes.
A free-kick was awarded outside but Annis got up and fired it into the bottom corner.
Hawks had more of the chances and hit the post.
