Former England cricket captain Graham Gooch will host a ceremony rewarding the cream of a resort's businesses.
More than 250 leading company representatives will gather at the five-star Grand Hotel on King Edwards Parade, Eastbourne, on October 31.
Mr Gooch will name the winners of the seven categories and the overall Eastbourne Business of the Year at the Eastbourne and District Business Awards.
The awards will showcase businesses of all types and sizes and recognise their contribution to the town and the Sussex economy. Entries close on September 30.
Categories are Manufacturing Business of the Year, Independent Retailer of the Year, Professional Business of the Year, Hospitality, Tourism and Leisure Business of the Year, Customer Care Award, Employee of the Year, Employer of the Year.
The winner of each category will go forward to compete for the title of Eastbourne Business of the Year 2003.
Judges include Sussex Enterprise chief executive Mark Froud, Varian director John Peel, BAA Gatwick managing director Roger Cato and Marshall Tufflex managing director Paul Evans.
Entries for each category cost £30 with no limit on the number entered. Tickets, at £30 per person, are on sale now.
