The old Black Rock swimming pool and cafe is the sort of leisure development we need at this location, not an enormous "seafront palace" that will only cater for tourists and wealthy residents.
We already have leisure facilities next door at the Brighton Marina, plus an array of shops, restaurants and other attractions.
We need somewhere we can take our children and grand-children - a simple, affordable amenity on our doorstep.
The beach here is very popular with locals as it is away from the city centre and close to the large estate of Whitehawk and its environs.
A pool and cafe would make a lovely addition to our seaside and be greatly appreciated by local children.
We don't want vast arenas and lots more development - keep them in the Marina or the city centre where they belong.
We used to have the ideal set-up down here, which was a mecca for the people of the area.
We'd like something like that again.
