During the recent heat, there has been nowhere in Sussex to go and cool off, exercise, have fun and skate.
We hope Brighton and Hove City Council will make the right choice for the people of the city to build the much-needed ice rinks.
The council should also make plans to re-open Sussex Ice Rink in Queens Square, which closed in May.
Last summer there were two venues in Brighton for skating, the Sussex Ice Rink and Get Your Skates On at the Brighton Centre.
We have had to make a 104-mile round trip to Guildford Spectrum to skate.
