Nick Nurse will wait until the eve of the new basketball season before deciding which players lead Brighton Bears into the British League.
The Bears coach and owner wants League chiefs to agree an increase of two to 12 for the maximum size of squads allowed in the competition when they meet tomorrow night.
Nurse saw his 12-man complement complete an unbeaten pre-season by defeating a USA Select and Worthing Thunder over the weekend, then revealed he was still weighing up options for the League campaign, which starts next weekend.
He said: "I will probably give in my final team sheet at about 5pm on Friday.
"We've got a lot of options and that's good. I'm pretty happy with the progress so far.
"We've got more cohesion at both ends of the floor and defensively we have come a long way.
"I don't think we are great but I think we've got a good chance of being very good."
Nurse's squad includes young English prospect Tom Frederick, who showed up well at the weekend and maybe offered a deal.
Bears beat Thunder 99-49 last night in what developed into a glorified training session at a sparsely populated Brighton Centre.
The tone of the evening was set after just two seconds as Rico Alderton was sent clear for an unopposed dunk.
Andy Gardiner, Kendrick Warren, Mike Brown and Randy Duck completed the starting five though Nurse made frequent substitutions and went through his full range of options.
Bears led 52-24 at half time and showed off a series of practice court routines after the break.
A 17-0 third-quarter run helped top up the winning margin as the hosts refused to ease up on their out-gunned opponents.
David Butterworth hit four three pointers to lead a Thunder side missing skipper Gaylon Moore with an ankle injury.
