Alan Pook wants to add more firepower to one of the most powerful front lines in the county.
The Worthing boss admits he is after another striker as his side chase a first win in three games.
Rebels host Egham in division one south tomorrow bidding to bounce back from a disappointing midweek draw with Epsom.
Pook said: "I'm definitely in the market for a quality forward.
"We need an out and out centre forward who doesn't give a damn about anybody else, just scoring goals."
Pook was happy with Darren Freeman's display in midweek but is certain to recall Sam Francis, who missed the game because he was taking an exam.
Clinton Moore could also get a first start while Owen Hill's likely return could put Ross Johnson's place at risk.
Lewes manager Steve King is working overtime to solve an injury crisis up front.
Top scorer Luke Fontana has been ruled out for six weeks after breaking a leg during Tuesday's 4-0 win over Dulwich Hamlet. Strike partner Marc Whiteman went off with a twisted ankle during the game and could be out for three weeks.
It leaves King with Lee Newman as his only recognised forward and even he is suffering with a shin problem.
King admits he is calling in all favours in a bid to sign a striker before tomorrow's home game against Marlow.
He said: "Losing Luke is a massive blow for us and now that Marc is out as well it leaves us with a real problem.
"I am phoning all my contacts and hopefully I will be able to bring in someone in time."
It is not just up front where Lewes are down to the bare bones. Justin Harris has been ruled out for two weeks with a foot injury sustained against Dulwich and fellow midfielder Paul Kennett misses the Marlow game through suspension.
Gary Charman is doubtful for Horsham's home game with Croydon Athletic after suffering a recurrence of a knee injury.
