In reply to R Simmonds (The Argus, October 13), many disabled drivers park in Haddington Close for easy access to the shops in George Street purely because there is nowhere else for them to park.
This is a very short road and a cul-de-sac.
It is absolute rubbish to say cars are unable to pass both ways because drivers are arriving and departing every five or ten minutes.
Most are polite enough to let one or the other through.
The parking attendants must be stopped and should show some consideration for the elderly and disabled.
