Haywards Heath remain bottom of National Three South but they might yet be grateful for another battling display at Whitemans Green.

Henry Goodburn's explosive 30-yard finish gave them their points in a 37-5 home defeat to Barking.

The leaders were sent on their way by a penalty try and added two controversial scores after the break.

Playmaker Casey Mee also got over.

Heath will hope the fact they restricted powerful Barking and Blackheath to relatively small winning margins in the last two weeks could effectively be worth an extra point in their fight for survival.

They had their moments in attack, with Alex Meredith getting over the line in the first half but being prevented from grounding the ball.

Goodburn's score came after Jon Groenen and Nick Stocker combined.
