I received a ticket for parking in a voucher bay in High Street, Kemp Town, Brighton, in June that had been "suspended".
I had purchased the relevant vouchers and displayed the panel required. On returning to my car I found a ticket attached to it, stating that I was parked in a suspended bay and was therefore parked illegally.
The suspension consisted of attaching a small yellow sign attached to a lamppost, not even to the sign displaying the parking restrictions for that road or bay.
I looked on the vouchers I had bought, trying to find information about suspension of bays and could not see anything to explain it.
Every car around mine had tickets attached (four bays were suspended) and every car parked there over the next few days had tickets.
I watched some being towed away.
The council must explain this system at once.
