Three Bridges defender Clay Lamont is on an FA Vase revenge mission after helping his side book a place in the second round last night.
Bridges beat Wessex League side Whitchurch United at Jubilee Field in a replay after Saturday's 1-1 draw and now face 1994 winners Diss Town.
Last season Lamont was playing for a Withdean side who lost to Diss in the fourth round of the competition.
He scored in a 2-2 draw to secure a replay but was then sent off in a 3-0 defeat in the following game.
Lamont does not intend to let history repeat itself.
He said: "I'm looking forward to playing them again because I know their forwards very well. They will not be expecting to see me that's for sure and I wouldn't mind getting my own back on them.
"Diss are a good side but we have shown this season we can definitely beat them."
Bridges manager Sammy Donnelly is not so pleased to have been drawn the Norfolk side as it means a long trip even though the second round tie on November 22 is at home.
Donnelly always watches the opposition before his side plays them and he is not about to break with tradition.
He said: "It will mean another midweek trip and because of the distance it may even be an overnight stay. but I don't mind too much because it means we're through and it was quite comfortable in the end."
Bridges swept aside Whitchurch with relative ease to add £600 to the £500 they won in the preliminary round.
The home side dominated the first half and could have scored five before they finally did break the deadlock a minute before the break.
Pat Massaro fired over with only the keeper to beat, Lee Butcher saw his angled effort well saved and Simon Funnell could only guide a shot wide from close range.
Ryan Hackett was also guilty of squandering two guilt-edged opportunities but he made amends by creating the goal. His superb turn and cross presented Massaro with the chance to smash a volley into the top left hand corner.
It did not take Bridges quite so long into the second half to seal the win.
Funnell latched on to a through ball nine minutes after the restart and rounded onrushing United keeper Dave Smalley before rolling the ball into the empty net.
