Would all your readers who shop in charity shops stop and think before they try bartering and haggling over prices.
Whatever the charity, we are all trying to raise vital additional income for our good causes as none of us receive sufficient government funding to carry on our vital work.
We owe it to our donors to achieve a fair price for their generosity.
And as for those who take goods left outside our shops, I leave that to your conscience (if you have one).

It was refreshing to see Chris Eubank having the courage of his convictions when he used his truck to demonstrate in Downing Street against the UK/US occupation of Iraq (The Argus, October 15).
Eccentric he may be, but on this important issue Chris is one of millions who firmly believe the occupation actually encourages further terrorism.
