I take exception to some of Adam Trimingham's comments about Hove Library (The Argus, October 23).
As a voracious reader, I get through six books each week, none of which is "dog-eared".
Most of these are new books and the library gives me an opportunity to discover new authors.
Sure, you can buy classics for £1 each but personally I found them dull when I was younger and still do.
If I had to buy all the books I read, I would be bankrupt by now.
