Sussex aim to take the first steps on the promotion trail at the Ellenborough Club, north Middlesex, on Saturday in division one of the county championships.
Sussex were relegated by a single point after losing their last two matches 6-4 in the premier division last March.
Ritchie Venner, the Sussex captain, said: "The premier division is so fiercely contested that one win can put you well into the top half of the table and a narrow loss can send you down.
"In March I said, 'don't worry, we will win promotion next time'. That time is here - with a full strength team I'm expecting three wins against Middlesex, Hertfordshire and the Sussex second team, who are in the same division."
The Sussex first team will be Venner, Adrian Moore, Peter Bartram, Sally Weston and Rose Rainton.
Gary Wilson (Worthing), three years the Sussex junior champion, will be making his senior debut for the Sussex second team, accompanied by Paul Barry, Terry Haley, Sara Cogon and Sheila King.
