Sidley United are to withdraw the No. 1 shirt as a mark of respect to goalkeeper James Duffell who died last week in a car crash.
Duffell and team-mate Liam Cox, both 20, died in an accident last Thursday night.
United cancelled last Saturday's County League division one match with Redhill and the midweek clash with Hassocks but return to action on Saturday when Shoreham visit Gullivers.
Joint-manager Andy Laskey said: "We are withdrawing the No. 1 shirt for the rest of this season at least as a memorial to James.
"The goalkeeper will where the No. 21 shirt for the rest of the season. We intend to present the shirts to the players' parents."
The club are holding a two-minute silence before the game in memory of the players, while a stream of well wishers have placed floral tributes in the goalmouth at the ground during the week.
Laskey admitted: "The game is neither here nor there, it is entirely secondary. I don't know what will happen when the whistle goes.
"I don't how the players will react on what will be a very emotional day."
He added: "The club would like to express its thanks for all the support it has received from other clubs in Sussex.
"Our chairman Dickie Day has been taking phone calls and receiving letters from other clubs in Sussex. We aim to hand over those messages to the families of the players."
Sidley's game with St Leonards on Tuesday in the Hastings Senior Cup has also been postponed as it is the day of James' funeral.
Rob Whiley has been called-up from the reserves to play in goal against strugglers Shoreham while midfielder Jimmy Watson and striker Wes Tate are back after injury.
Dave Ward is unavailable due to family commitments.
