There's something of the night about Michael Howard.

He's so far to the right it scares me - I'm a coward.

They've given us Thatcher (remember Milk-Snatcher?).

The whole country was damaged, communities ravaged.

If they turn to the past and give Michael the post;

He's not likely to last - I'd say a year at most.

the Tories as choosers are left with the losers.

If a year from today the party's still riven;

their MPs will say "William, all is forgiven."
